Okay so I have been wanting to dive into the senior picture market, and so I called up Heather to do some lovely modeling for me. Because really she is only a junior, but she of course indulged me. I had some serious fun traipsing through weeds and grass and running into some seriously scary looking spiders to get these pictures, but it was definitely worth it....they turned out great! How could they not with such a pretty girl?! Heather was so much fun to work with and I look forward to taking her real senior pictures next year!!

It's Been too Long!

Well sorry for the long absence on the blog, I have had a lot going on. I actually have not been very busy with photography lately because I took a little break after I found out that I was pregnant.......I got pretty sick and was quite miserable for several months. Most of my blog readers already know that I am pregnant, so it's not news, but for those of you that don't...I am 24 weeks pregnant. I have been feeling pretty good for awhile now but about 4 weeks ago we recieved some devastating news. The sweet little boy that I am carrying has a condition called Trisomy 18. This is a chromosomal defect that means he has one too many chromosomes in the 18th spot and it basically affects his whole body. We have been told that I will not likely make it to full term and that if I do, there is a very big chance that he will be born still. If by some miracle he does make it full term and is born alive, he will probably not survive more than a few days. My husband and I have been struggling with the news, but know that this sweet baby boy must be a very special spirit indeed as his main purpose must be to get a body and return to his father in heaven. We are still taking things a day at a time and can only hope that we get to spend a little bit of time with our baby boy, but trust that our Heavenly Father knows best and we will understand in due time why he won't be able to stay with us. I thought I would just explain to everyone out there, that didn't know, what was going on in my life.

I have been avoiding life and work for awhile now, but realize that I need to stay busy and happy. So now I am back to work and wanting to have lots of photography sessions, because next to family, photography just makes me happy :) So for any of you that are out there that are wanting a photography session shoot me an email as I would love to capture some wonderful memories for you.

Like I said I haven't been very busy over these last few months, but wanted to share a few of the sessions I did do. Enjoy and have a happy weekend!!

This is my AWESOME friend Tami's little guy, and can I just tell you how stinking cute he is!! He is not only absolutely adorable, but he also seriously has the sweetest temperament!! I seriously want to keep him! Anyway, I guess it's a good thing I am friends with his mommy so I can snuggle him every now and then :)

These are the sweet angles of a good friend of mine and I just think they are the cutest kids EVER, of course next to mine;) !! Their Momma happens to be a great photographer as well, but is very modest and would never say so herself! I have been dying to get these kids in front of my camera for awhile and when their mom was game I jumped on the opportunity!! We had so much fun talking about photography and laughing as the sun was going down. We even had a little incident with some aggressive cows.....yikes!! Needless to say, I could have taken pictures of these beauties ALL night if the sun would have let me! Thanks Misti for indulging me and having your kids be my models for an evening!!

Awhile Back I went out to shoot the awesome D family. It was actually a little hot that day and by the end of the shoot I was actually sweating EEEWWW!! But I had a lot of fun with these guys trying to get Carson to just look at me and Grant to smile at me. The kids were troopers and I got some great shots of them! Thanks for letting me hang out for a little while!

The very next week I got to go take a few pics of Dalila's extended family (the Ortiz family). And as you can see they are a really fun family that doesn't take things too seriously.....my kind of people ;)

How can such a tiny thing bring so much joy to so many people?! This is the newest addition to our family.......my brother and sis-in-law adopted this sweet little man and they just couldn't be happier! I am so in love with this little guy! He is so sweet and so adorable and makes a perfect little brother for Miss Morgan!! I got to take some pics of him which will come later because I have so many other pictures to edit, but I did promise somebody one. So for now feast your eyes on this gorgeous baby. We all just love him to pieces!! Congrats Jared and Rachel he is such a joy!

Well just wanted to let you all know that I will be on vacation for the next 10 days until the 26th. So all emails will be answered when I return. It is my hubby's and my 7 year anniversary and he surprised me with a very special trip, wait for it.............kid free!! Don't get me wrong I will definitely miss my kids, but I am really excited to be getting away. A huge thanks to my sister and her family for taking the kids for us!! Until then, this is how I am feeling........

This sweet little man came a little too early and had a little bit of a rough start to life and ended up in the hospital the first week of his life. But he came home and I was so excited to come over and play with him. I had a lot of fun taking his pictures since I hadn't had my hands on a newborn in a while. I am so happy for this wonderful family and their adorable little bundle of joy!

The other day I was playing my new camera to test it's low light abilities, which by the way are AMAZING, and I was using my Claire as the test subject. She was being absolutely adorable and giving me some pretty cute pictures when it hit me like a ton of bricks. My baby is NOT so much a baby anymore! When and how did she grow up so fast?! All I know is that I just LOVE her to pieces. I just thought I would post a few of our little impromptu photo session. Her hair was not done and I didn't dress her up, but I just LOVE these!!

Well this post has been a very long time coming and for that I apologize to Jen. These darlings are my nephew and nieces. The only bad thing is that they live so far away and we see them not nearly enough =( On a good note they will be moving back soon!

This little handsome guy is Noah. I had the pleasure of going out to take his pics awhile back, and lets just say that I got my workout for the day. He did NOT want to sit still. His momma even tried to bribe him with marshmallows which eventually got him to smile because he was using them to throw at me.....which he thought was pretty hilarious! When he did his big smile his dimples came out, which was ADORABLE. Oh and did I forget to mention his beautiful eyes. I think his parents are headed for a lot of girls knocking at the door for this little guy. I really had a lot of fun with this one and he kept me on my toes the whole time. Hope you enjoy!!

This is a wonderful family I have known for a long time! The parents left at the end of January to go Guam where they will be serving a mission for our church. They are going to be gone for 18 months so needless to say they wanted to do family pictures before they left. Just before Christmas I had the pleasure of going out and playing with these two cuties!! It was so overcast and brrrrrr cold that day, but these two were troopers!! I was a little worried because it was so dark that the pictures wouldn't turn out, but I think we got some really cute ones!! Hope you like them Amy!! Thanks for letting me play with your adorable kids for a little while.

By the time I got to shooting the two of them together, they were all pictured out and frozen by that point, that I really didn't get too many of the two of them together. But I thought this one was really cute and sweet!!

Awhile back my sis Rachel and I went out to take a few photos of little miss Morgan. I thought it would be fun to take Madeleine along and get a few shots of her as well. Although I didn't get too many of my stinklet Madie, I did get some really cute ones of Morgan and a couple REALLY cute ones of the two together!! I just love these!! I am so thankful to have such a wonderful family and am even more grateful that we live close enough that our kids are not just cousins but best buds!! :)

I apologize to those out there that are patiently waiting for their pictures. Pretty much everything that could go wrong with my families health has gone wrong in the past 2 weeks. For those of you who know my family, know very well that my two little girls ages 3 and 1 have very bad asthma. And when they get sick they ends up with all sorts of breathing problems. Well last week my one year old was down at Valley Children's Hospital in the ER with some breathing issues which then was past on (the illness that caused her breathing issues) to my 3 year old. Then at the end of last week my son brought home a lovely illness resembling some form of the flu, which has swept through my family......me included. Needless to say I am still not feeling well but am trying my hardest to take care of my family and finish my editing. So, once again thanks for your patience and understanding. Here is a picture to leave you with until I can get a full post up to show this wonderful family that I am working on their pictures and am pretty much done.

Awhile back I got to get together with this sweet family and take some pictures for their Christmas cards. I happened to grow up with the Dad in this family, and for any of you that know him would agree when I say he is pretty hilarious. Oh my LOVELY!! I just love this picture, especially the little girl in it! This just happens to be my ADORABLE niece Morgan, and I just love her to pieces. My sister-in-law indulges me when I want to got out and play, and she lets me use her beautiful daughter!! A couple weeks back I made good on a promise that I would take this families pictures. I was supposed to take some back in April and for one reason or another we were never able to schedule something :(. But alas, we were finally able to get together and and get some really cute shoots!! This is seriously one of the sweetest families you will meet and if you ask my son, their daughter Brooklyn is his best friend. Well, what can I say about this little nugget except that I love him to pieces :)! This is one of my closest friends little man......isn't he ADORABLE!! I had the privilege to drive to Hollister to go take pictures of this sweet baby, and I had so much fun! I'm just sad that now that his momma isn't working and has a lot more time on her hands, she is 2 hours away :(! On a good note, it is a very easy drive which I plan on making on a fairly regular basis. That is, if they will take me :)!!

Here are just a couple shots from tonights session. How stinkin cute are these kids, seriously!? I had a lot of fun tonight jumping up and down and making silly noises, lets just say I probably looked pretty silly to onlookers, but who cares when you get results like these!!

I am trying desperately to catch up on my editing and post the sessions I have done over the past several weeks. This sweet little guy was one of the three newborn shots I have done recently. Isn't he adorable!! He has one really big dimple that was shown off in his preview shots if you scroll down and see the shot of the newborn smiling really big. I had so much fun taking these and he was so good for me, especially since I think he was about 5 or 6 weeks old when I took these!! AWESOMENESS!

These next two pictures crack me up! He really was sleeping like a champ, I think he was trying to tell me to stop moving his so much so he could rest peacefully!

So today I had the pleasure of going to take some pictures of one ADORABLE newborn. These photos are actually from our first attempt of getting some sleepy shots. We realized after awhile that we had scheduled his shoot during his awake time and thought we better just try again another day, as the light was quickly slipping away and we wouldn't be able to wait for little Ayden to fall asleep. So today I went back and boy oh boy did we get some cute ones. But for now I will leave you with some cute smiley pictures I got from the first time around. More to come later :)!!

This adorable little guy is Logan. He is the SWEETEST little baby and has the most awesome/impressive head of hair I have seen in a long time! I had so much fun taking pictures of this little man. It made me a little baby hungry to be honest, but I don't know if I'm ready to add a fourth to my madness :)! I guess that means I just need to book more newborn sessions to satiate my craving until I am ready. The Tanner Boys

Awhile back I was able to go out and take some pictures of some seriously handsome boys. They were so much fun and very photogenic, might I add. I had a really hard time narrowing down the pictures to just few a subsequently ended up sitting at my computer all night waiting for all the pictures to upload. That's what happens when your subjects are too dang cute! So here you go Lori, I hope you love them as much as I do!

This picture makes me laugh. William really was not interested in sitting down to take pictures with his brothers, but I caught him back there wondering what we were doing......love it!

Dylan. Not only is he going to steal the hearts of many girls with his handsome face, but he is also SUPER sweet and helpful (he was helping a ton, trying to get William to smile and sit for me).

Nathan. Seriously, isn't he a doll?! I loved how he was helping me think of ways to model for me. He was so funny and kept me smiling the whole time.

Michael. Cutie Patootie. He was a little on the quiet side (at least around me) but boy was he sweet.

William. Ahh William, I just love this little guy to death!! Not only is he ADORABLE, but he also has the cutest personality. He was a little camera shy and really refused to look at me if he could help it. I know it may seem like we were able to get him to stay still, but really it was for only seconds at a time. He was really more interested to play and explore then to look at my boring camera.

This is the beautiful Seamons family. They were one of the three families that went to Yosemite with us. I wish we had more time that day to get more shots of all the families, I had some other spots I thought would be great. But these ones turned out pretty darn good, I thought. It was so much fun to hang out with you guys for a bit, thanks for your patience in waiting to get these.

I had a little fun and tried different techniques in photoshop. Here is what I ended up liking. Some different variations of vintage with a little bit of texture. Hope you enjoy them.

One of my sister's close friends came to visit from Utah last week and her and her mom decided it was time for a new family picture. Although not everyone there felt in the picture mood, I think we got some cute ones for a spur of the moment right in front of the house kind of session. It was really fun catching up with you guys and seeing all the kids. There are some pretty DANG cute children/grandchildren in the Elvester clan! Thanks guys for letting me take your pics :).

Last month I got to go to Yosemite and take some family pictures (I know I am SO BEHIND). This was one of the lovely families I got to take pics of. The day was a little chaotic for me as we were late getting there and then all the families kind of showed up at the same time (it was my fault on not planning properly, but hey it was my first time doing multiple families at a destination shoot). I really had a lot of fun and would love to do it again, Yosemite has endless possibilities for pictures. Hope you enjoy.

P.S. I know the other families have been waiting for their pictures, I promise I am trying my hardest to get them done as quickly as I can. Thanks you guys for being so patient with me!

This is Korinne and Tyson. I had the pleasure of going out and taking pictures of these adorable kids. They were so CUTE, and VERY good might I add. A little over a week ago, Kevin had a couple of senior picture sessions so I tagged along and got to take a couple pics here and there. It was fun to take pictures of these beautiful girls!

Brooke, I just think she is so BEAUTIFUL. Her eyes are so pretty, she didn't really like having to be the center of attention, but she was so fun!!

Kevin took most of the ones by the barn, so I can't take credit for those :)!

Rachel was so sweet and so cute!! Doesn't she look a little like Taylor Swift!?.....I think so. And doesn't she have the CUTEST dimples and eyes LOVE them!!

Well my husband has been trying to get me to shoot a wedding for a long time, and I keep telling him no because to me it's a little scary. The time has come that I am confident enough to take one on, I mean I've gone and helped my husband do them and occasionally I take a few shots. I have to apologize for how behind in editing and posting I am. Life has been a little crazy lately. With a couple of sick cranky kids and dealing with doctors, I haven't had a lot of time to dedicate to photography so I just wanted to say sorry. So just to keep viewing more interesting I will post one pic until I can get everything else caught up.

Last week I got to shoot my first set of TWINS!! They were so cute and their mom was so nice, I couldn't help but have a blast. One baby is hard enough to get to stay asleep for pictures, but two..............was downright almost impossible ;)!! The first time around didn't work for Jonas' schedule, but the second time did and I think we got some really cute shots for being on a time constraint. Thanks Amy for letting me disturb these sweet little babies slumber, it was a lot of fun!!

Okay, this sweet little angel is the only girl in a family with 5 boys!! She is the sweetest baby and is absolutely adored by her big brothers. A friend of mine wants to go up to Yosemite on May 9th (can be a little flexible on the date) to take family pictures. I would love to do it, and think it would be great if I could do more than one session there! I have been bugging the mother of these gorgeous children for a very long time to let me take their pictures.....and she let me!! They were so easy going and had lots of smiles to give, it was perfect!

Can you say child model? Seriously need I say more?! I could have taken pictures of this beautiful girl all day and still have not gotten enough.

What a handsome little man this kid is turning out to be. I think he is going to break a lot of hearts!

New Photog Blog!

So Here it is folks, my very own photography blog! I finally did it! Yes, my husband does photography too and yes he will have his own blog. I thought by separating them it would be plain and simple as to who actually took the picture you are looking at and lets face it, I wanted complete control of my own pictures/blog :).

Well on Saturday I found a small white children's chair at Goodwill and took it home with high hopes I could turn it into something cute and wonderful for pictures. In my opinion, I did pretty darn good and here are the results..........

*A full resolution disc of 20-40 (sometimes more depending on how big the group is and how many images were taken) creatively edited images taken from the session.
